And along came Sammabean.
At my 6 week post pardum appointment after Pie was born, I was urged to go on the mini pill. I had been reading and reading and reading some more about all the benefits of breastfeeding and knew that exclusive breastfeeding suppressed ovulation. The statistics were better than those of the mini pill.
Taking the pill just did not sit right with me. I felt like I was doing the wrong thing every night I took it. After 3 weeks I stopped.
I still had not had a post pardum period and my body was not back to "normal" yet. Once again Chris knew I was pregnant. I kept denying it thinking I was just still carrying pregnancy fat on my belly. After more urging, I tested again. Yep another +!
Pie was only 4 months old when I got pregnant with Sammabean which put them 13 months, 1 week and 1 day apart. I was facing another c-section too, which didn't make me happy at all. But it went much smoother the second time around and I am so thankful to be a tandem nursing mom of "Irish twins".
I truely think God was talking to me when I went off the pill. I had put my fate in becoming a mother in God's hands before Pie was born and knew that I could trust that He knew what was meant to be. I am so thankful He blessed us with Sam.
